Commonpoint Queens held a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The event took place at the “Youth Opportunity Hub” in the historic T-Building at 82-17 Parsons Boulevard, Jamaica, NY 11432. Created to encourage, help and support young people to effectively follow their dreams, the “Youth Opportunity Hub” is a state of the art facility, which offers ongoing assistance and individualized support services to aid young people ages 14-24.

The transition to adulthood can be particularly difficult for low-income, minority, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and special needs adolescents and young adults. The “Youth Opportunity Hub” aims to provide wraparound social services that include food, legal, and financial support, mental health counseling, and “soft skills” training; like reliability and working well with others.
