Commonpoint Queens Partners With Supplies For Success
Queens, NY — A new school year should be a fresh start no matter a child’s background or level of family income. Every child deserves a shot at success, especially given the difficulties of the past couple of years. Yet many children in our community start school without the basic supplies they need: paper, pencils, notebooks, and art supplies.
On August 14, 2022, volunteers at the Commonpoint Queens Sam Field Center – in partnership with Supplies for Success – will be assembling backpacks with school supplies to ensure that each child has the tools to succeed in the classroom. Together we’ll make sure that no family has to choose between paying their electric bill or buying school supplies.

Supplies for Success is a nonprofit providing grade-specific school supplies to tens of thousands of children in grades pre-k to 12. The organization partners with local schools, homeless and domestic violence shelters, county social service departments, food banks, local houses of worship, and other child service agencies. Supplies for Success and Commonpoint Queens are partnering together to help those who need school supplies to help them succeed.
