The members of the painting class of the Sam Field Neighborhood Senior Center put together this exhibit of their work in March. Although the building is currently closed, we have continued this display of their work virtually. Artist bios can be found at the bottom of the page.

Artists:
Lucille Vener is a retired librarian who has been painting for 20 years. She has been part of the Sam Field community for 8 years, participating in our painting class for 3 years. She is also a member of the Douglaston Art League
Tsai Chen
Lucille DeBonis loves to express herself through painting and exploring her passion with her fellow art colleagues at the Sam Field Neighborhood Senior Center. She was a photographer by trade for 30 years, and loves animals, cooking, reading, and watching international films. Portraits are her favorite subject and watercolors are her favorite medium.
Arthur Mergenthaler learned to draw and paint over 40 years ago and took art classes at Queens College and the Arts Students League. He also studied Chinese calligraphy and Sumi Ink painting. Since retiring, he has attended oil painting classes at Sam Field and is also a member of the Watercolo Club at the Glen Oaks Library.
Carol Goldberg has been taking painting classes periodically for a few years. She started painting abstracts and branched out to landscapes and other areas working with acrylic paints. She also contributed an abstract painting at an art exhibit on Long Island.
