Overview
The Beacon Programs are school-based Community Centers, funded by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development. Beacon child care programs operate during after school hours, summer vacation and on weekends and holidays, providing a wide range of services and activities for children and their families. Beacon After School Care Programs include Basketball, Tae Kwon Do, Individual and Family Counseling, Vocational and School to Work programs, Dance, Drama, Chess, Computer, Homework Club, Academic Tutorials, Youth Councils, Tennis, Video Production and Adult Programs such as Computers, Stress Reduction, Parent Support Groups, as part of a comprehensive menu of activities for all ages and interests.
