Commonpoint Queens Is Offering A Variety Of Service Projects For Volunteers In Honor Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Legacy On Monday, January 16, 2023.

Queens, NYIn honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Legacy, Commonpoint Queens is hosting a Day of Service on Monday, January 16 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of service projects at three of Commonpoint Queens’ locations at Central Queens in Forest Hills, Sam Field Center in Little Neck, and the Youth Opportunity Hub in Jamaica. Opportunities to serve include preparing food packets to be donated to a local food pantry, daffodil bulb planting, creating a mural for beautifying the community, and crafting homemade cards to be mailed throughout the year to older adults in the community. A Blood Donation Drive conducted by the New York Blood Center will also be happening at Commonpoint Queens’ Central Queens from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
