Each Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education courses for each triennial registration period. Commonpoint Queens is proud to offer continuing education courses for our community!
Understanding, Supporting, and Affirming LGBTQ Youth, Adults and Older Adults in Social Work Practice– Monday, November 14, 2022, 8:30AM – 10:30 AM, two contact hours
Instructor: Daniel Tehrani, LMSW, Clinical Social Worker, The Sexuality Attachment and Trauma Project
Daniel Tehrani is a social worker whose practice focuses on mental health, trauma, and substance use within the LGBTQ community. He works primarily with queer, transgender, and gender non-conforming people of color. This course will provide an opportunity to enhance one’s professional understanding, cultural competence, and increase capacity to support LGBTQ people throughout their life course.

The cost for each CEU course is $50, and $25 for DGMH partnering organizations of Commonpoint Queens. These organizations include:
