Do you enjoy cooking? Turn it into a career! Join us for an in-person information / recruitment session for our Culinary Arts Training on Thursday, February 22 at our Silver Hub.
Come learn about our Culinary Arts Training, its requirements and rules, meet our chefs, and receive a tour of our kitchen.
Commonpoint offers a 12-week culinary arts training (Mondays – Thursdays from 9am-1pm) that trains participants for careers as sous chefs, line cooks, directors of culinary, and more! Participants learn knife skills, common cooking techniques, and how to scale up recipes for large crowds. ServeSafe and NYC Food Handlers’ certifications are included in the curriculum. Additionally, Commonpoint’s kitchen is a “working kitchen” that primarily serves 200+ lunch orders daily throughout Queens, allowing participants to receive hands-on experience in a fully functional working kitchen. Upon graduation, graduates can expect to be met with immediate job placement.
