Remembering At Home – a Survivor Testimony by Leah Hason on Facebook Live

Apr 21, 2020 | 8:00 pm

This year, due to COVID-19, we will commemorate Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day differently.

Stay home and join our friends at The Shlichut institute and זיכרון בסלון – Zikaron BaSalon to hear the moving testimony of Leah Hason, a Holocaust survivor who at the age of 4 was sent to a concentration camp in Ukraine with her mother. The two managed to escape the ghetto and hid in a pig barn for a year and then in the forests until the war was over.

Leah’s testimony will be posted LIVE* on The Jewish Agency for Israel Facebook page at 8PM.

This Facebook Live Event will be followed by a Zoom chat, hosted by our very own Shlichim, Tal Yizraeli, at 8:30 pm. Click here to join us at 8:30, as Tal will discuss the survivor testimony, as well as the significance of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
