The Partners In Caring program is a UJA-Federation of New York grant funded program engaging synagogues and other community based organizations in a collective effort to address the needs of our vulnerable community members including frail, isolated, older adults. The goal of the program is to supplement and compliment the services and care provided by each synagogue with social work support to clergy, Jewish professionals, leadership, membership, and the greater community. The PIC team can provide assistance with consultation/training for clergy member and Lay leaders, intergenerational volunteer programming, mental health education and psycho-educational programs, bereavement counseling, caregiver support, support for individuals coping with marital issues/separation/divorce, support through life’s transitions, discussion groups, short-term counseling, legal, financial & career resources (UJA-Federation’s Connect to Care), information and referral services, community events and synagogue workshops.
