Senior Fitness in Little Neck

Exercise is important for all age groups, but particularly for adults 65 and over. We offer senior fitness classes to help enhance the lives of our community members.

As sad as we are to have to go without seeing our friends and families, our staff at both our Central Queens and Sam Field Center have been working hard to make sure that YOU can still see US!

We want to provide you with age-appropriate resources so that health and wellness can continue outside of our community-centers, with resources that we will be producing and posting daily.

We’re excited to feature exercises and activities with all of your favorite teachers, instructors and experts.

Stay tuned for future updates,  and make sure you’re following our Instagram and Facebook pages (Sam Field + Central Queens – with live streaming coming too!)

We’ll keep in touch, and if there’s anything you need please feel free to reach out to the Health and Wellness team and the Senior Center staff!

You can view all of the videos that we’ve posted so far here.

*Exercise, dance, and other health and wellness programs are potentially strenuous activities. It is required that you check with your physician prior to registering for the gym or any fitness, dance, or athletic program brought to you by Commonpoint Queens.

**We’d also like to advise our senior exercise members to note their surroundings before participating in our classes. We are working to provide age-appropriate classes, including Silver Sneakers classes, but ask for you to please use extreme caution, make sure that you are not having balance difficulties before being active, and that you have a stable ground below you if you are exercising.

Check out our schedule below, featuring new additions such as Silver Sneakers Classic, Line Dancing, Tai Chi, and Zumba Gold more!
