The Joys of Working with Kids (by Justin Stenzler)

I started working with kids when I as 17 years old. It was at Commonpoint Queens Central Queens in the Early Childhood Department. I was in the Early Childhood Department from June 2003 to June 2006.

In 2007 to 2008 I was an assistant basketball coach for the Bukharian Jewish Community Center. We were known as the Bukharian Sharpshooters.

At age 28 I returned to doing what I love to best is working with children in Council of Aid for Central Asia Jews Afterschool Center. I was in charge of The Reading Department from September 2013 to August 2017. In October 2017 I worked with kids in boosters Afterschool Center. I was there from October 2017 to March 2020.

On November 29, 2022 I returned to Commonpoint Queens Central Queens. This time i is the Afterschool center in the Kids Korner. The staff is great to work with. I enjoy working with children because I like to see them happy and succeed. The secret to working with children is patience and listening.

Commonpoint Queens is a special place for staff and children of all ages.
