Children’s Sports Classes in Little Neck, Queens

Children need physical activity, and our youth sports classes are the best place to start! We provide progressive classes/leagues with an engaging and age-appropriate sports curriculum.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our fall youth sports classes! We are excited to announce that we will be continuing with indoor youth sports classes this Winter in our Gymnasium at 58-20 Little Neck Parkway in Little Neck! Our dynamic instructors will guide your child to reach their full potential through engaging and age-appropriate sports curriculum. Classes will begin the week of January 4, 2021 and observe social distancing protocols in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidelines. Please register here by December 30, 2020. Space is limited!! Member prices are applicable for youth who are currently enrolled in a Commonpoint Queens afterschool or Learning Bridges program or have a family membership at Commonpoint Queens. Insurance is included in the fee.

Class refund policy:

After the first class is held, 90% refund minus $20 administrative fee. After 2nd class is held, a 50% refund minus $20 administrative fee. Should you choose to take a Commonpoint Queens credit, the administrative fee will be waived. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

If NYC guidelines require mandatory closure of our building during the Winter session, we will make all reasonable efforts to make-up missed classes by arranging an alternate date. If our schedule or space does not allow, then class credits based on our closure days will be issued to your Commonpoint Queens account.

Kidz Fit Youth Fitness Program

(Ages 7-12)

Develop strength and endurance, through small group training classes, led by a specialized fitness trainer in our unique youth friendly fitness center with age appropriate machines. Learn more about our Kidz Fit Gym here

Or create your own class and work-out with your friends! If you have a group of three or more children we can arrange a class for your group for 10 sessions at the time of your choosing.

Dance/Fitness

(Ages 4-11)

Ms. Dani will take you through easy to follow dance moves with fun music mixes. Through music and movement your child will increase their fitness level, strength, coordination and balance.

Basketball Skills Clinic

(Ages 4-14)

This clinic is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball for the novice as well as seasoned players. The main focus of the clinic will be conditioning, skill-specific drills, and small-sided scrimmage games. Sportsmanship, defense/offense, footwork, and strategy will also be included.

(Ages 4-6)

Children develop the fundamental skills of playing various sports such as wiffleball, basketball, soccer, hockey etc. Through drills, lead-up games and active play, children build a foundation to progress to game play.

Nursery Gymnastics

(Ages 3-5)

A fundamental gymnastics class where children will be taught tumbling and the proper use of the balance beam and vaulting horse with an emphasis on fun.

Indoor Playground

(Ages 5 and under)

A safe and fun environment for children to play and interact with other children in a playground setting.
*Adult participation is required

Pre-K Soccer

(Ages 3-5)

The perfect intro to soccer, played indoors during the colder months. Children learn to pass, dribble, and shoot.

Pre-K Basketball

(Ages 3-5 )

Learn the fundamentals of basketball in a safe and nurturing environment. Dribble, pass, shoot, defense and offense, etc.

After School Soccer Clinic

(Ages 5-11)

Learn the skills, do the drills and have fun in a class taught by certified teachers and instructors

Super Soccer Stars

Super Soccer Stars uses specially designed curricula and low kid-to-coach ratios to nurture. build self-confidence, and develop teamwork in every child.
