Thank you for your interest in the Summer of Arts and Sports day camp!
Our premiere on site day camp serving the community for over 30 years is located at our Central Queens location in Forest Hills and is designed to enrich, stimulate and encourage your children to reach their full potential. Our goal is to provide your child(ren) with a fun, dynamic and creative curriculum that fosters self-confidence, encourages friendships and campers personal growth.
You have the option to enroll your child for a 4 through 8 weeks camp experience. The campers day includes weekly sports with an instructional skill based curriculum. Our emphasis is on building foundational skills and participation, all within a supportive environment. Our certified Aquatics staff, along with your child’s counselors, lead our swimming instruction in our indoor pool. Your child’s creativity, critical thinking and artistic expression will be fostered within our Art, Dance, Education and Specialty programming. Campers will be served a delicious Glatt kosher lunch and snack is provided.
The camp day is from 9:00-4:15 pm. Camp drop-off and dismissal will be staggered. Therefore children will have drop-off times between 9:00 and 9:15 and dismissal will be between 4:00 and 4:15 pm. Siblings will be dismissed together. Before care from 7:30 am and after care until 6:00 pm is offered for an additional fee.
For 2021 we will continue in following the guidelines of the NYC and NYS health department to develop a safe operating plan and informed by best practices developed from last summer’s Camp Commonpoint. We have been hard at work preparing the details of SAS camp, as to make it a safe and successful experience for your children, our staff and our entire Commonpoint Queens community.
