We are excited to announce the opening of our Summer semester classes! Our dynamic instructors will guide your child to reach their full potential through engaging and age-appropriate sports curriculum. Classes will begin the week of July 6 and observe social distancing protocols in accordance with New York State Department of Health guidelines. All instructors and unvaccinated class participants under 12 years old are required to wear masks.

Class refund policy:

After the first class is held, 90% refund minus $20 administrative fee. After 2nd class is held, a 50% refund minus $20 administrative fee. Should you choose to take a Commonpoint Queens credit, the administrative fee will be waived. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].

If NYC guidelines require mandatory closure of our building during the Winter session, we will make all reasonable efforts to make-up missed classes by arranging an alternate date. If our schedule or space does not allow, then class credits based on our closure days will be issued to your Commonpoint Queens account.

Contemporary Movements

(Ages 5–11)

This dance based class incorporates ballet, modern, and jazz techniques along with your child’s imagination.

7 Tues. beginning July 6
4:30-5:15 p.m. (Ages 5-7)
5:15-6:00 p.m. (Ages 8-11)
$112 members / $140 non-members

Ballet

(Ages 5–11)

The foundation of all dance. Body placement and alignment in ballet are the most important elements for every dancer in attaining balance, control, form, strength, and a beautiful line. Dancers will achieve this through barre and center floor work.

Leotard & tights with ballet slippers required, Ballet skirt and/or tutu is optional.

7 Thurs. beginning July 8
4:30-5:15 p.m. (Ages 5-7)
5:15-6:00 p.m. (Ages 8-11)

Zumba Kids/Hip-Hop

(Ages 5–11)

Ms. Jessica is back creating fun and motivating dances designed just for kids using the Zumba concept and hip-hop. Children learn fitness dances, play fun motivational games and learn new rhythms and styles of music and culture.

Hip-Hop Dance

(Ages 5-11)

Ms. Dani will take you through easy to follow dance moves with fun music mixes. Through music and movement your child will increase their fitness level, strength, coordination and balance.
