NEW! Water Polo and Stroke Development
Our youth water polo program is a co-ed competitive team for athletes ages 7-17. Taught by Coach Cesar Gonzalez, athletes will develop their skills, improve their self-confidence, and adopt the attitudes that characterize elite competitors. Coach Cesar Gonzalez will a participant of the 1984 Olympic Trials in Rome.
Join us for a 7 week session to learn water polo fundamentals, ball passing and receiving, polo crawl, ball management/control, and treading techniques. Practices will be held at Bayside High School.

Swim Classes for Children with Special Needs
We offer beginner and intermediate classes for children with disabilities.
Swimming
11 Sundays beginning October 1
Primary/Foundational Skills: 3:00-3:45pm, 3:45-4:30pm
Intermediate/Level 3: 4:30-5:15pm, 5:15-6:00pm

Primary/foundational skills is a beginner class. Students will learn safety skills and water acclimation. Students will learn basic aquatics skills such as blowing bubbles, kicking and putting their faces in the water. Concepts are introduced through fun games and activities. A parent or support staff is required to join in the water with each child.
Stroke development/Level 3 is for children who have foundational swimming skills and are ready for technicalities of swimming. This course is for children who have done well in the beginner class, or have otherwise been assessed by the swim instructor to be ready for this level class. A parent or support staff is required to join in the water with each child.

Commonpoint Queens Aquaflames Swim Team
Sanctioned by USA Swimming
AGES 6-18 (Co-Ed)
The Aquaflames Swim Team is a year-round USA swim program that benefits athletes and prepares them for success during competitions. Practice sessions teach discipline, sportsmanlike conduct, swimming technique, racing skills, and aerobic development in a positive social environment. As swimmers graduate from each level, they develop mentally, emotionally and physically. Absolute commitment is necessary for every swimmer in order for them to reach their maximum swimming potential.
All participants must register for at least three days a week.
Aquaflames Practice Schedule

American Red Cross Lifeguarding
Can you swim 300 yards (12 lengths) continuously, retrieve a 10lb. submerged object from a minimum 7 foot depth and tread water for two minutes? If so, you can become a lifeguard! Upon successful completion of the class, participants will obtain a Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, and certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid.

Refund Policy
REFUND POLICY:
- Before the first class is held: Full refund, less $20 administrative fee.
- After the first class is held: 90% refund of remaining unused portion, less $20 administrative fee.
- After the second class is held: 50% refund of remaining unused portion, less $20 administrative fee.
- No refund or credits after 3rd class is held.
- Credit card (refund may take up to 2 weeks). Cash/check (refund may take up to 4 weeks).
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]
