Below is our weekly scheduled exercise classes for the week of January 17th. You will not be admitted into our paid virtual fitness classes without purchasing the winter package or Central Queens membership, and you must purchase a Pilates package to be admitted into our Pilates classes.

Registration is still open for our Virtual Winter Fitness Package and Pilates Package! The Virtual Fitness package runs through Friday, April 2 and costs $110 for all remaining weeks. We are also offering drop-ins for $12 per class. You can register for your Virtual Fitness Package bclicking here. The Pilates Package costs $90 members / $108 non-members for remaining weeks of Beginners & Intermediate Pilates or Senior Stretch and Strength Pilates classes (not included in Virtual Fitness Package). We are also offering a new session of youth sports classes at Central Queens and Sam Field! Registration is still open for Zumba Kids, gymnastics, basketball, soccer, volleyball, basketball leagues, and swimming in Forest Hills, and Kidz fit, dance, basketball, all sort of sports, and baseball in Little Neck. 

Thank you to everyone who joined us for annual Mustache Fitness Night! A special edition of virtual Barbell Fitness was held Sunday, November 29 at 7pm in honor of Movember celebrating men’s health with special guest instructors Sheila Clark-Hawkins and Jessica Montenora.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 100 Days of Fitness challenge! We had nearly fifty participants across all categories log over 6100 miles in walking, running, cycling, and swimming, 1500 fitness classes, nearly 200 personal training and strength training sessions, over 1500 minutes in family activity, and 1020 yards in swimming. We finished ranked #1 in Group Fitness, #1 in Personal Training, #3 in Running, #3 in Walking, #3 in Family Division, #4 in Cycling, and #4 in Swimming for Metro JCCs! We are so grateful to everyone who logged their activity and joined in our fitness community.

The #JCCSummerFitChallenge began on May 31, and ended on Labor Day, September 7.

As sad as we are to have to go without seeing our friends and families, our staff at both our Central Queens and Sam Field Center have been working hard to make sure that YOU can still see US!

We want to provide you with age-appropriate resources so that health and wellness can continue outside of our community-centers, with resources that we will be producing and posting daily.

We’re excited to feature exercises and activities with all of your favorite teachers, instructors and experts.

*Exercise, dance, and other health and wellness programs are potentially strenuous activities. It is required that you check with your physician prior to registering for the gym or any fitness, dance, or athletic program brought to you by Commonpoint Queens.

**We’d also like to advise our senior exercise members to note their surroundings before participating in our classes. We are working to provide age-appropriate classes, including Silver Sneakers classes, but ask for you to please use extreme caution, make sure that you are not having balance difficulties before being active, and that you have a stable ground below you if you are exercising.
