We at Commonpoint Queens will always be proud that we were able to provide these classes completely free to our members and greater community for the last three and a half months! However, as the pandemic continues to disrupt our business, we must begin charging a fee for summer classes.

Special for Summer 2020 – we are selling a Virtual Summer Fitness Package – offering 8 weeks of classes for $54! This package will include 96 classes offered from Monday, July 6th through Friday, August 28th. We will also be selling individual class drop-ins for $12 per class.

You can register for your Virtual Summer Fitness Package by clicking here.

So many of you have reached out to tell us how grateful you are for supporting you with these classes, now we ask for your help to support our wonderful instructors as well as the greater Commonpoint Queens community.

**Schedule subject to change**
****Youth Yoga on Monday and Wednesday will be hosted on Instagram Live! Follow us @commonpointqueens. All other classes are hosted on Zoom.****

Now, more than ever, it’s critical to stay connected. During these unprecedented times, we need to exercise to help us stay strong and healthy—physically and mentally. Go head-to-head with JCC participants across the continent in your favorite form of exercise. Whether you’re into strength training, running, group exercise, swimming, or something else, you’ll have a chance to test your mettle.

The #JCCSummerFitChallenge begins on May 31, and ends on Labor Day, September 7. Make sure you’re part of the action. Anyone 13 years old or older can compete; each participant, however, must have a unique email address.

Register and log your workouts at https://app.jcca.org/100days/.  See our rankings below.

As sad as we are to have to go without seeing our friends and families, our staff at both our Central Queens and Sam Field Center have been working hard to make sure that YOU can still see US!

We want to provide you with age-appropriate resources so that health and wellness can continue outside of our community-centers, with resources that we will be producing and posting daily.

We’re excited to feature exercises and activities with all of your favorite teachers, instructors and experts.

Stay tuned for future updates,  and make sure you’re following our Instagram and Facebook pages (Sam Field + Central Queens – with live streaming coming too!)

We’ll keep in touch, and if there’s anything you need please feel free to reach out to Rory at membership, the Health and Wellness team, and the Senior Center staff!

You can view all of the videos that we’ve posted so far here.

*Exercise, dance, and other health and wellness programs are potentially strenuous activities. It is required that you check with your physician prior to registering for the gym or any fitness, dance, or athletic program brought to you by Commonpoint Queens.

**We’d also like to advise our senior exercise members to note their surroundings before participating in our classes. We are working to provide age-appropriate classes, including Silver Sneakers classes, but ask for you to please use extreme caution, make sure that you are not having balance difficulties before being active, and that you have a stable ground below you if you are exercising.
